A Wedding Look That Still Feels Like You

Your wedding jewellery should feel like you on your most radiant day — not a costume. Start with the neckline of your dress: a sweetheart or strapless gown loves a pendant or layered set that fills the space, while a high neckline pairs best with statement earrings and bare collarbones.

Choose one hero piece and let the rest support it. If your necklace is elaborate, keep earrings to simple studs or small hoops; if you wear heirloom earrings, let a delicate chain carry the neckline. And always do a full rehearsal — wear the complete set with your hair and veil fixed, then move, hug and dance in it.

Finally, think beyond the day itself. The pieces you will actually re-wear — a solitaire pendant, pearl strand or tennis bracelet — are the ones worth investing in. Our Perle Heritage Necklace and Riviere Tennis Bracelet were designed exactly for that second life.

Finding the Ring You Will Reach For Every Day

Cut first, everything else second. A well-cut stone returns more light than a larger, poorly cut one — which is why our atelier rejects stones that look dull on paper even when the certificate impresses. Ask to see the diamond move, not just its grades.

Next, match the setting to a lifestyle, not a photograph. High cathedral settings snag on knitwear and gloves; low bezel or flush settings suit nurses, chefs, climbers and anyone who works with their hands. Rose and yellow gold hide everyday scratches better than white metals.

Set a budget before you browse, and insist on itemised pricing — metal, stone, making — so you can compare honestly. Every Veyra engagement ring, including our signature Veyra Solitaire, is made to be worn every day, and our exchange promise stands behind it.

Small Care Habits for Favourite Pieces

Perfume, sunscreen and chlorinated pools are the three great dullers of fine jewellery. Make your pieces the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off — thirty seconds of habit that adds years of brilliance.

Clean gold and diamonds at home with warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft baby toothbrush; rinse, pat dry with linen, never tissue. Pearls need only a barely-damp cloth — never soak them, and re-string knotted strands every few years of regular wear.

Store each piece separately in its pouch so harder stones cannot scratch softer metals, and bring Veyra pieces in once a year: annual cleaning, clasp checks and re-polishing are free for life, no appointment needed.
